Snowflake Writing Prompts: Creative Writing Activities for Winterr

These fun and engaging "Print and Go" Snowflake writing activities are perfect for your January bulletin board, or a non-holiday December bulletin board! Just print out the writing templates and watch the creative writing come to life! These writing prompts can be used for a Winter Unit or Snowflake Unit, in a writing center, or for morning work/end of day activity!

Included in this resource:
Choose a writing template for your students; there are 6 different prompts to choose from. They are differentiated based on writing skill level:
-fill in the blank sentence,
-trace and fill in the sentence, and
-a blank page to write your own sentence.
-Please note that there is a blank page with 3 writing lines, 4 writing lines, and 5 writing lines choose which one is best for your students.
-List of suggested books to read that pair well with the writing prompts.

Writing Prompts:

-“If I were a snowflake I would...”

-“If I were a snowflake, I would land on..."

-“If I could be any snowflake in the world, I would go to _______ because..."

-“Snow reminds me of...”

-“I _____ the snow because...” This is an opinion piece, as students will write whether or not they like the snow and why.

- "The snowflake ______ (verb) from the sky." Students must use a verb describing how the snowflake fell from the sky.
