Description
In this hands-on activity, students will apply mathematical concepts to everyday life while using technology based learning to create and display discoveries based on concepts and principals of rotational symmetry. Through internet research and inquiry-based learning, students will discover just who the Snowflake Man was and his contributions to math, art, and literature.
While working in pairs, students will use the notes they take from the various website viewings and create a PowerPoint presentation regarding Snowflake Bentley and his discovery of rotational symmetry.
Students will also use their new-found knowledge to create a perfectly symmetrical snowflake.
