S'mores Activity | Cooking in the Classroom | Special Education Resource

S'mores in a Cone is a SUPER yummy classroom cooking project. Students follow the recipe to create their own S'more in a Cone and use their five senses to review the recipe! Cooking projects are a great way to have students practice following directions and exploring activities with their five senses. This S'more in a Cone recipe can compliment any Camping Themed Unit or Five Senses Unit. This resource also includes a visually appealing PowerPoint Presentation to display for the whole class as well as a paper copy of the recipe directions in Low-Ink.This recipe is intended to be done as a whole group, with each student having their own S’more Cone. To complete the recipe, eat, and complete the recipe review it takes about 30-45 minutes dependent upon how many students you have and how much assistance your students need.

1. S’mores in a Cone PowerPoint - Step-by-step recipe directions with visual support. **This PowerPoint presentation was created using Microsoft PowerPoint 2016, if you have an older version you may have difficulty opening this presentation or the fonts/alignment/images may not work properly**

2. Paper Copy of S’mores in a Cone Recipe

3. Recipe Review Worksheet – Students complete the worksheet after making the recipe using their 5 Senses.

To make this recipe, you need the following ingredients:

-plate

-spoon

-bowl

-microwave

-ice cream cones (flat bottom)

-mini marshmallows

-chocolate bar

-graham crackers
