What educators are saying
Description
Students will show what they know about slope intercept form, linear equations, and x and y intercepts in this fun and creative stained glass slope project! Perfect to use as an activity or assessment while teaching slope. Great integration of math and art!
⭐ This resource includes:
- teacher activity directions
- student directions
- 3 linear equation worksheet pages for students to complete that
determine the lines they will graph
- photos of finished projects
- sample solution
- grading rubric
⭐ ⭐ EDITABLE versions of the STUDENT DIRECTIONS and the GRADING RUBRIC are also included so you can customize them to fit your class! ⭐⭐
Students will use linear equations in slope intercept form to plot and graph a variety of lines.
Students will also work on finding the slope of a line, whether the slope is positive, negative, zero or undefined, and finding the x or y intercept.
Once the lines are graphed, students will be able to use color creatively to design their page of lines to look like a stained glass window.
Because students get to choose from a provided list of linear equations, all of the students finished projects will be unique!
This is a great way for your students to creatively show what they know about linear equations and slope!
