Description

Teachers love scavenger hunts because they are extremely low prep and students work independently and stay engaged! Students love scavenger hunts because they get out of their seats and get immediate feedback!

For this scavenger hunt, students will find the slope of a line using two points. Students can use the slope formula.

Each student, or pair of students, starts at one of the 16 signs. Students calculate the slope from two points and then find the answer on another sign.

Students then find the slope of the line using the next two points.

If students answer all 16 questions correctly, they should end at the sign they started with.

The teacher just needs to print one copy of the 16 signs and the student worksheet, if desired (you could certainly have students work on a piece of notebook paper instead.)

The order is already shuffled so it literally takes about a minute to set up the entire activity.

I was nervous to try this the first time but was so pleasantly surprised at how focused and engaged my students were! It is SO much better than a boring worksheet. I promise your students will beg you to do scavenger hunts again!
