What educators are saying

I had students that were struggling with slope at first. I hung these around the room, got them up and moving, and then the magic happened. The light bulb went on. Thanks.
I really liked this activity because it challenges students. It is great to utilize as a warm up daily.

Description

Slope Formula: Triples Activity

This is a great way for students to practice finding slope given two points using the slope formula. There are 30 total cards in which there are 10 sets of 3 cards with the same answer. I created this activity as a twist on the classic task cards.

Students can work on their own or in teams to find all the slopes. Once they have found all slopes, I have them cut them out, staple their "triples", and place them in a zip-lock bag for a classwork grade. An answer key is provided to ensure the correct cards are matched together.
