Description

An informational text on how the history of Slavery in Canada. This text examines the history of Black and Indigenous slavery in Canada. It looks at the jobs that slaves did and the conditions they lived in. It also covers the fight for abolition in Canada and the British Empire and the history of the Underground Railroad. The text attempts to center the experience marginalized groups and should help students relate history to the current period.
