Need a simple way to do a book tasting? Use this simple elementary printout.
How I've used it:
1. Gather students in a large circle. Each student has a book in front of them as well as a clipboard with the above printout. A timer is set for 2 minutes to preview and 2 minutes to write. When the timer goes off, students pass the book to the left. Depending on time will depend on how many books you get through.
2. Gather students in smaller groups according to reading level. Give them various books to choose from. Each student can fill out a book tasting form for each book.
