Description
Use a fun game to review the meanings of 30 similes and metaphors. Students create their own bingo cards by cutting out and attaching 24 choices onto a blank card, or you can print and play using up to 24 pre-made cards. The game uses 5 similes with like, 15 similes with as, and 10 metaphors from music lyrics. The teacher draws a calling card and reads the meaning aloud when playing bingo. Students cover the answer if they have it on their card. A simile poster and a metaphor poster are also included. Fun practice!
Play this game digitally using Easel Activities. Students can use the bingo card that corresponds to their classroom number or randomly choose a card. A teacher draws a calling card and reads the clues aloud. This can be in a classroom setting or online via a video conferencing platform like Zoom. Students use the pen tool to mark the correct answer if it is on their bingo card.
