Sight Word Sentence Building Practice Kindergarten Boom Card Activity Worksheets

These build a sentence activities are all about helping students gain confidence in writing sentences and helping them become life long lovers of writing. It includes a little over 100 sentence building printable pages.

Each sentence is composed of pre-primer sight words and one word that relies on using beginning sounds and a picture clue. There is an exception to some sentences that may include the words at, fun, or with (which are not pre-primer words.)

These are no prep and ink-friendly.

These are also great for students to practice using those sight words too.

These also include a set of Boom Cards™ that has 100 slides in it. These sentences were pulled from the packet, so I could offer a digital option to those who previously purchased the packet. The sentences are read to them via audio, and students drag and drop to build the words and sentences.

The Boom Cards can easily be assigned with a link in any learning management system, and they are self-checking. It includes audio to read the word to the students too! Students then build the word, read it in a sentence, and then build it.

What Do I Need to Use the Boom Cards?

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for modern Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (a form of play that gives instant feedback to students for self-grading Boom Cards). How Many Devices Can Access the Boom Cards?

A single license is good for one teacher and her students, so you can use this with your whole class on as many devices as you like. You can even assign these for homework too!

How Will I Assign the Boom Card Files?

You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (play provides instant feedback for self-grading Boom Cards). Fast Play is always a free way for students to engage with Boom Cards decks. For additional assignment options, you will need a premium account. If you are new to Boom Learning, you will be offered a free trial of our premium account. I will provide links to access Boom Learning in the resource. In other words, you can use these with a free account, but you get additional features with the premium account. Premium accounts are very low cost for the year too.
