What educators are saying

This lesson tied in with our unit on Growth Mindset and creating goals. We have also worked on career paths based on personality traits. I liked this theory and ideas to aid with my unit lesson.
It worked out really well. I used colored paper for when the students learned their personality color. This made it easy for the students to answer the questions with like minded people and then one from each group.

Description

This can be used with a leadership unit or as a substitute plan. Students first work individually to discover their personality types. They then reflect on leadership scenarios and how they can use the strengths of their personalities. Students then group with similar personality types and reflect before working in groups with all personality types. This assignment allows students to do introspective work and work in teams. This assignment is designed to help students best understand how their minds/personalities work and where they can best use their strengths. It is also designed to help students understand how to see from different perspectives and work with different personalities (hopefully reducing group conflicts). The assignment is created to foster critical thinking skills and empathy.

I do not own rights to any of the online quizzes or the personality types. This assignment is designed to supplement instruction and guide students through their thinking on the websites listed.
