Sheet Music For Bucket Drums

As a percussion teacher, professional drummer, and elementary music teacher; I was astounded to find a lack of actual sheet music for bucket drums. I created this resource to support my grade 2-6 students through the challenges of learning beat and rhythm. My goal was to guide them through ACTUAL MUSIC in preparation for Concert Band in grade 7/8/9.

There are 18 unique pieces from extreme beginner, all the way up to 'mildly difficult'. There are three 2 part songs included, as well as composition pages.

I came up with my own notation by focusing on three main sounds. To further clarify this for students, each sound has its own different note head. This makes it easy to understand at a very young age; unlike many other resources that use 4 or even 5 line staff paper. My hope was to make it easy, thus, making it enjoyable.

Special thanks goes out to my students who helped guide my writing, this program has been amazing in my classroom. Students feel a huge sense of accomplishment when they play through a piece together. When they move on to begin instrumental playing, they have a strong sense of beat and rhythm making the learning curve MUCH easier!
