Description

Shay's Rebellion is a turning point in American history as it showed the importance and need of a strong national government. This source has two primary source readings that fit on one page. An excerpt from a newspaper in Massachusetts and their perspective of the rebellion and government, as well as a letter from George Washington to Henry Knox on the same issues.

This source dives into Washington's desire for a strong national government, and shows that the nation supported such an idea as well. Listed with comprehension questions, and critical thinking questions, this resource will ensure proficiency on Shay's Rebellion!
