Description

In this Shays Rebellion reading, Articles of Confederation, and Constitution skit activity, students are taught in many different styles to help them understand the event known as Shays' Rebellion and how it demonstrated the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation. Students engage in a short reading assignment with analysis questions to help teach how the weaknesses of the Articles led to Shays' Rebellion before reading a short skit and engaging with a primary source activity to understand the failures of the Articles of Confederation, Shays Rebellion, and the need for a new government.
