The Rise and Fall of Lord Macbeth is a short stage script version of Shakespeare's great tragedy, Macbeth. The script is suitable for students to perform and has been slightly modernised to make it accessible. But all of the original character names, symbolic imagery, themes and the essential elements of the original Macbeth have been retained. It's a great, dramatic, play script for any English class, theatre program, or performing arts club that also provides students with the opportunity to develop skills in mime, tableaux and performance arts.

This script includes fabulous full production notes, with ideas for staging, props and furniture, lighting, sound effects, any music and costumes. It also contains great follow-on activities covering story, characters, theme, script layout and performance-related tasks for further work in the classroom or drama studio.

If you are giving a performance of this play to an audience, regardless of whether you charge admission or not, you must purchase the appropriate Performance Rights License, available in this store.
