Description
10 week unit of work where students make their own 'shakers', designed for students in year 1 and 2. The program looks at basic rhythm notation, beat vs rhythm, the musical elements of pitch and timbre, and ends with students learning and performing a shaker song.
It includes links to the Victorian Curriculum, Learning Intentions, Success Criteria, detailed lesson plans with a warm up, explicit teaching/launch, exploration, and revision, and an Assessment rubric.
