Semester Plan in Acting: Character Creation & Performance ALL RESOURCES INCLUDED

This bundle includes everything you need for a semester long course in performance for novice actors.

Three units build on one another to a final performance based assessment where students create their own character and perform it for the class.

Students ease their way into performing: the first class performance is not memorized and the audience even has its back to the performers! By the end of the semester, students who have never performed before are performing self written monologues for their original characters, memorized, with character voices and movement.

Included are three unit plans: Vocal Expression, Physical Expression, and the Superhero Project PBA. All resources are linked into these plans as well as in the bundle itself.

Lessons and projects are scaffolded and designed using an observe then explore style. No two lessons are the same, and students of every learning style will find this material approachable. National SEL and Social Justice standards are seamlessly incorporated into each activity and project.
