Description

Hello Fellow Teacher,

Thank you for considering this PDF with 20 slides. This is the second set like this with 3 unrelated items on each slide. Some of those items include a Rubik's Cube, snowflakes, a golf course, a broken heart, a weight lifter, an old watch, a motocross racer, and more. The 3 items on each slide must appear in students’ stories with some significance. Use these pictures to teach creative writing and narrative writing.

You can also use these as brain breaks in between assignments or when there is time at the end of class. Project a slide on the screen and ask students to come up with a quick caption or summary about how the 3 items are related.

To further develop students’ proficieny in all 4 ELA standards, students can create a presentation and incluce pictures on a Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Canva to go aiong with their stories as they share them with the class.

Students can share their stories in small literature circles and provide feedback and suggestions to help students grow as writers.

Parents can use these with their children to help spark creativity. Start a family story time where the kids tell stories based on a slide.
