Seasonal Morning Message Templates for SMART Board

I use my SMART Board every morning for a number of opening activities, including a morning message! I write my students a letter sharing the date, some things we will do and learn that day, what special we have, and more. I also add a P.S. question to either ask a review question from the week's lessons or just ask a poll question (for example, "What kind of pet do you have?") to start conversation and sharing. I also use the message as a grammar lesson by asking students to fix punctuation, capitalization, etc. Of course, you can use these templates however you'd like in your own classroom!

This file includes 15 template pages. I have included one template for each month with season/holiday clip art and colors, one birthday template (any day that is a student's birthday uses this page for the message), and a template for sight words. We review our sight words after reading the message together.

**This file uses Notebook software and will not open unless your computer has the software installed.** Simply add text to each page for a beautiful, colorful message! Enjoy! :)
