Description
Did you know your littles can actually create their own games with coding using Scratch Jr? I'm not kidding...it's possible! Not only possible but so much fun and engaging for your kids! Coding has never been so much fun!
This bundle has four games:
- Match game
- Rabbit is hungry
- Catch the fairy
- Frogger, kid version
Lesson format
The lesson starts with the ISTE standards and then an inclusion activity. Then you dive right in! Everything is step by step: background, sprites then coding. There is a video at the end so kids can see how it works! The last slide is always "Let's Play." This is a digital lesson that will be copied to your Google drive. Feel free to change out the text as you need. Lessons are widescreen 16:9 for best viewing. Each lesson would take at least two sessions.
What I love about this lesson is the feeling of ownership kids have when creating their own games.
**Advanced: This is a lesson for students who have plenty of experience with Scratch Jr.**
