This is a Google Slides presentation that provides it's viewers with an introduction to the Science of Reading. It features an influential Ted Talk, Scarborough's Reading Rope, a review of phonological awareness terms, a place for your own school data, and a collection of slides about what the research says about phonemic awareness and then phonics! I just presented this to my faculty as an introduction to Science of Reading and my colleagues are begging for more information! If you are looking to share the "why" or research about the Science of Reading, this presentation is a great start!
