Description

Help students stop mixing up Rotation and the revolution of the Earth during your astronomy unit. Emphasis is on understanding the different movements of the solar system. Easy Prep Planning. Specifically made for Google Classroom and perfect for digital learning. Printable and Digital versions included. Students expand their comprehension and vocabulary skills with concept maps, summary strategies, and an acrostic word puzzle assessment.

Students will expand their knowledge of rotation and revolution. They will learn a brief history of how the Earth is not the center of the solar system. The focus will expand into the how and the why of the solar system's movement. They can learn more by visiting included links to articles and videos. Students can perform the "Try This" as an at-home activity.

Students will be guided on how to write a summary using the About/Point strategy. They will complete a concept map on key vocabulary terms. Assessment questions included. Students will complete an acrostic word puzzle assessment. This enables them to self-correct answers. An anchor chart helps reinforce concepts for a group project or classroom discussion.

Teachers will like the flexibility of being able to use it for distance learning or in the classroom. We created it so it can be done individually or integrated into guided lessons. An answer key is included. Teachers can easily turn it into a complete week-long lesson plan or more by using everything included. It is all set to go. Just add in the "Try This" activity.
