Science Readers' Theater about Forces and Tug-of-War

From my personal experience teaching elementary grades, there is never enough time for reading or science. This lesson integrates science content about balanced and unbalanced forces into a way for students to practice fluency and reading skills. It not only has science vocabulary but also new everyday words for students to learn. This script can be used for a variety of purposes. There are also question sheets for discussion or pair work and a description with tips about how I used this in my classroom.

The file contains 11 pages. There are two versions of the script, one written for 6 characters, and one modified for 4 characters. There is also an accompanying question sheet that provides students space to draw and write about the forces in the tug-of-war that is acted out in the script.
