Description

This school newspaper project is fun way to have your students practice their research skills and learn about your school's own unique history at the same time! With just a few materials (listed below) and some resources, your students can make an amazing interactive display that will be fun for them to create! I have included all the printables, along with detailed instructions and pictures. You can pick and choose what works best for the age level of your students. This download also comes with a grade sheet and comment section. This project is perfect for anytime of the year! It works well with upper elementary students, although it can be easily adapted to use with younger students.

The sections included are: School History, All About My Grade, Meet a Teacher, Our School Mascot, Interview of a Special Member of the School, and School Activities.I have left some blank templates, just in case certain sections do not fit your particular school.

Materials Needed:

-1 File Folders per Student

-Glue Bottles and/or Glue Sticks

-Scissors

-Crayons, Markers, and/or Colored Pencils

-Student Research/Technology to Research

(Note: There is a school history section. This might be an area where teachers may have to help students.)
