Schiffe versenken (Partner Game)
- PDF
Description
Schiffe versenken is a great activity for partner work, even if it has to be done remotely. Students can each print or draw their own game board. Since not being able to see each other's boards is one of the requirements of the game, playing remotely by videoconferencing or even telephone is no problem.
This game is a good way to teach students the numbers and alphabet. Most game boards I have found are too big for one class session, especially if the teacher has to explain the directions and review alphabet/numbers first. The game boards included are 7x7, making it possible for even the slower students to finish; faster students can start on the next game board.
The document includes five game boards. The first four cover the alphabet and numbers 1-28, and the last one is blank so the teacher or student can customize it.
The directions (in German) are on each board; they are a bit advanced, so the teacher would need to explain and demonstrate, but the purpose is for students to get used to seeing the directions in German.
