What educators are saying

This was a fun resource to do with my students. While they needed a little guidance and background knowledge before we got started, they loved working in groups and finding clues around the room. We had a fun Halloween week being detectives.
The students were engaged and learned a lot of info. I love the way the packets were put together. It was fun for Halloween!

Description

Students will act as detectives to research the Salem Witch Trials for the family of one of the accused villagers, Rebecca Nurse. Students will first create a detective notebook and then search for clues scattered around the classroom. As they find more clues, students will start to unravel the mysterious Salem Witch Trials and ultimately determine whether or not there were really witches in 1693-1693 Salem, Massachusetts. They’ll wrap up the activity by writing a concluding detective report and completing an Exit Ticket.

Students will love this print only activity and taking an active screen break from their computers!
