Saint Patrick's Day Reading Passages in Spanish - Día de San Patricio

3 original Stories about Saint Patrick's Day in Spanish with comprehension questions.

All three reading passages use the Pretérito (Spanish Past Tense) making it ideal for Spanish 2 level classes.

Reading Passage 1: El festival de San Patricio
A family's trip to Ireland around the time of Saint Patrick's Day.

Reading Passage 2: El duende Toti
A leprechaun decides to go to the St. Patrick's Day Festival in Dublin, Ireland.

Reading Passage 3: El día de suerte
Ana goes looking for a four-leaf clover because she wants to have some luck.

These reading activities would be great for substitute teachers or in an emergency as a quick filler.

The worksheets are ideal for bilingual / dual language classrooms since they are completely in Spanish, including the instructions. Students are likely to encounter new vocabulary on each page so it would be good to explain (or draw) it before giving out the handouts.

Bonus Listening Activity
