Sahara Desert; ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt - Promethean Flipchart

This colorful, interactive 23-slide Promethean flipchart helps introduce students to Northern Africa, including the Sahara Desert, ancient Mesopotamia, ancient Egypt, and the beginning of 3 major religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam). This flipchart includes vocabulary reviews, maps, diagrams, links to an ancient Mesopotamia rap, as well as a variety of H.O.T. (higher order thinking) discussion questions. This flipchart was originally created for use in a 6th grade social studies classroom and follows Chapter 15 of the Houghton Mifflin textbook, "Social Studies: World Cultures and Geography".
