Description

Are you looking for a fun way to engage your students with fun activities designed to support the 5 Core Components of Reading? Fast 5 Units are a great way to hit all 5 core components of reading plus writing in a timely fashion and in a format that will motivate and engage students. They are also useful tools for collecting data and for progress monitoring and can be useful for identifying or addressing areas of need. Each unit is themed around a passage and includes:

1. Phonics Roll and Read Game

2. Practice defining vocabulary words using the vocabulary framework

3. Sentence Fluency Practice

4. Fluency Passage

5. Annotation Sheet & Comprehension Questions

6. Spelling Graphic Organizer

7. Writing Activities: paragraph writing

This informational passage introduces Sacagawea and her contributions to history. Activities incorporating all 5 core components of fluency + writing are provided to go along with the passage.Print and digital versions are included.
