What educators are saying
Description
This assignment is a great opportunity to showcase how commercials have changed over the years. The students will use the google spreadsheet to analyze a list of historical commercials on a Google Doc. You can give the students the google doc to watch the commercials on their own or show them in class. Each of the commercials are monumental super bowl commercials. The students love this lesson and are always engaged while watching iconic commercials over the years!
Students will evaluate commercials based off the reason for advertisement and how expensive it was. A few of the commercials will spark conversation as they are related to social justice causes like climate control and gender disparagement. This lesson is also a great way for students to identify how expensive advertisement with celebrities and famous music is sometimes essential.
