STOMP LIVE! 2009 Production VIDEO & LISTENING GUIDE

This is a listening guide that asks students to watch and listen to the live performance in the video, STOMP LIVE 2009, and make general observations about the music, stage performance, and audience responses to the performance. 
In STOMP LIVE 2009, talented percussionists use everyday objects to create a variety of rhythmic pieces that involve comical interactions between performers while producing a variety of rhythmic works.  Each of the musical piece ranges from 5 to 15 minutes in length, with its own set of specific questions to answer while listening and watching the piece.

3 VIEWING WORKSHEET GROUPS

The video is 1 hour and 49 minutes long, but the VIEWING GUIDE IS BROKEN INTO THREE SECTIONS of approximately 40 minutes in length.  These different viewing guide questions can be used in sequence or you can simply use them at different times. 
IMPORTANT: All the videos times are labeled on the worksheets for the different pieces that are being performed.  If students need to see a small section a second time, it is easy to find the exact piece you're wanting to rewatch.

Questions are in the order of the video and questions are focused on the performers, the different musical elements, and reflective questions for the students to answer as a "music critic" would.

QUESTIONS are primarily multiple choice, but also contains “YES or NO”, “TRUE or FALSE”, and short answer questions, making it easy for students to fill out while they're watching the musical.
