Description

Teachers, take your students on an interactive STEM/STEAM adventure in the world of fossils. In this project, students will be junior archaeologists and use science, technology, engineering, art, and math to study fossils and go on an archaeological dig. Complete details are given!

In this hands-on study they will learn to apply science in the real world of archaeology. Every step of the process is clearly outlined and visualized for your use in the classroom. Students will love going to an “actual” archaeological site and working with their team to dig up fossils!

Students will find fossils that are buried using brushes and trowels, and then record the findings of their archeological dig. They will read, answer questions, and use their knowledge of what they have learned and write the results in their journal using the information using vocabulary words. They will not soon forget their journey into the ancient world of fossils.
