STEM Connections with Families! Fall Packet
Families and STEM are a great combination to promote creating, tinkering, and problem solving. We have developed a packet of three engineering challenges for Autumn to send home each month as school community outreach activities.
Teachers are saying:
"Sent these home in the monthly STEM newsletter this year to inform and support parents in understanding STEM and working with their children."
Each challenge worksheet has two sides: one side for the challenge and enrichment ideas and the other side for planning and reflections. An optional explanation letter for parents is also included for your use.
The three challenges focus on structural engineering, physical science and measurement. They use simple materials and provide an opportunity for an exploration of the engineering design process.
