STEM Scientists - Marie Curie - Radiologist
- PDF
Description
Students often have a stereotypical view of scientists! These STEM Scientists packs are designed to change students’ view of what a scientist is by showcasing different ones.
Want to know you students’ view of a scientist? Just ask them to draw a scientist on a white sheet of paper. In my experience, most draw white men with white hair, chemicals, and lab coats. These packs can help change students’ views of what a scientist is, especially by including women and people of different heritages.
There is a STEM engineering challenge and a short biography of Marie Curie included in this pack. The challenge can be done over one 45 to 60-minute session with minimal materials.
