Description
Test prep doesn't have to be boring. These English - reading video bell ringers / warm ups are a great way to get your students instantly engaged in your class from the minute they walk in the door. There are 54 slides (3 per week for 18 weeks) each slide contains the link to the video and 2 – 3 open ended comprehension questions that will get your students thinking. They are great for middle school and high school students.
Each video is between 2 – 5 minutes long. The questions focus on reading comprehension like questions such as: setting, point of view, character, plot, theme, tone, mood, summary, conflict, cause and effect, compare and contrast, text evidence, inference and more. These questions also open the door for mini-lessons or reteach lessons.
Answer Key with suggested answers has been provided.
These work great for test prep!
Please note that most of these video links require access to vimeo (a few are housed on YouTube). While most of these videos are very mild, there are a few that have some tense moments. Please watch the video before showing it to your class to make sure that it is appropriate for your students.
