Description
STAAR 2.0 is upon us, and unfortunately the TEA scoring guidance for the SCR is not as clear as it could be, especially for students. This tool was created specifically for students to use as a checklist during while responding to texts in writing to better understand the criterion on which they will be scored:
- Response to the Question
- Evidence
This checklist also includes a reflection opportunity to be completed after they feel they have mastered the criteria. This checklist can be used for any SCR question.
This tool can be used with 3rd through 5th grade, but is most ideal for 6th through 10th grades.
