Description

Fair Word Readers are Orton-Gillingham, Science of Reading, books and passages with decodable text.

They include words that can be decoded by the learner based on their current level of knowledge.

"Fair words" allow the learner to experience success and build confidence in reading. This is especially helpful for children with dyslexia!

Reading Longer Open and Closed Syllable Words with Endings SOR Readers

These Fair Word Decodable Readers are designed as a supplemental resource for young learners to practice with correlating letters, phonemes, word patterns, irregular words, Dolch words, and Fry words.

Fair Word Decodables are structured, systematic, and sequential, with the Science of Reading and Orton-Gillingham approach in mind.

They are also fun, silly, and engaging.

Order and NEW Irregular, HF Dolch/Fry Words:

-es (by, does, once, one, see, two)

-ed (many, my)

-ing (been, going)

Open and Closed Single Syllable (friend)

Compound Words (because, something)

Two Closed Multi-Syllable Words (until)

Open and Closed Multi-Syllable Words (along, begin, even, open)

These readers include two options:

7 Books: Read a page, turn, and see a fun correlating picture!

7 Passages: Read without pictures and illustrate at the end.

Most pictures are photorealistic, while some of the decodables have free clipart or clipart with attributions to the artist.

I can't wait for your students to enjoy these books and passages!

Please have fun and grow with these resources! Please reach out if you have any questions.
