Description

This SMART Notebook interactive lesson introduces levers as a simple machine. Teachers and students will identify the six simple machines, the three components of a lever system, the three classes of levers and equillibrium calculations of a Class I lever system.

This 20 page lesson allows students to identify the axis, force and resistance of various types of levers to determine the class of lever.

Students will then calculate the Force x Distance equillibrium relationship of a first class lever system. The Notebook includes ten (10) sample questions with pull tabs for the answers to each equllibrium equation.
