SEL Check Ins

Providing kids with an opportunity to check in and connect with their feelings is essential. It builds emotional literacy while enhancing self awareness, promoting social awareness, and fostering a sense of empathy. Additionally, kids develop active listening and strong communication skills.

This resource includes 20 different check ins. You can project them, post on a whiteboard, add to a Google slide or Jamboard, or print out for kids. They are presented in two ways. You can view a check in per page, or four per page. Also included are journaling pages for kids who want to express themselves that way!

However you use this resource, you will be infusing SEL into all that you do, and SEL isn't about the curriculum! It's about the structures and systems you have in place that help you function through an SEL lens! Give these a try!
