Romeo & Juliet Playlist Prezi Project

ROMEO AND JULIET CREATIVE FINAL PROJECT! Imagine your students excited about literary analysis and public speaking! Your students will enjoy selecting modern songs and connecting them to the characters, plot, and themes of one of Shakespeare’s most enduring tragedies. Students will demonstrate their ability to make a claim, support with evidence from the text, compare a classic work to modern songs, craft literary analysis, utilize technology, all while designing a creative project. Additionally, you may choose to invite students to present their prezi to hone those oratorical skills. Resource includes instructions for teachers, assignment requirements, rubric, and link to a sample Prezi, which includes 3 songs, lyrics, textual support, and literary analysis. This project has been a favorite with my 9th grade literature students!
