Romeo + Juliet Film Questions

20 straight-forward questions for students to answer as they watch the film "Romeo and Juliet." The questions are in chronological order, in quick, short response format, and focus on important parts to help them follow along. After the film, students answer 4 longer response questions that focus on over-arching issues, and make for great discussion. Comprehensive Answer Key is included. 2 pages of student questions and 2 pages of Answer Key.

These questions closely follow the 1968 film version, but would easily follow for the more modern Leonardo DiCaprio/Claire Danes version.

I used the R+J film as an intro. to my Macbeth unit (available in my store!), so the students get visual/auditory exposure to Shakespeare's language and drama. It helps give them a glimpse into his genius, and also helps them realize that Shakespeare's plays are not as difficult to follow as they think :-)
