What educators are saying

Short E is the hardest vowel sound and this resource provides LOTS of practice. Adding dice makes it random and FUN for my little learners. THANK YOU! {:>Barb

Description

Looking for decodable sentence practice? My Roll and Read pack for Short E CVC words has 15 no-prep pages with decodable sentences that make teaching reading easy for you and fun for your students!

This pack includes 15 Roll and Read pages. Each page has six decodable sentences that focus on Short E CVC words. Students will roll a six-sided die and match their roll to that sentence. Then they will read the sentence.

There are two versions of the activity. The first version has three numbered tracking dots at the end of each sentence. Students will color or check a numbered dot after they read each sentence. I also included a version without the dots.

In addition to the CVC words, there are 27 high-frequency words used in the sentences. The words are: I, in, a, is, on, it, he, the, has, see, like, to, his, did, here, look, can, had, big, not, we, get, do, you, by, my, at.
