Know your rights!
Right or Wrong! is a three part game based unit that helps students identify the civil rights of all Americans written into The Bill of Rights of the US Constitution - and their real world meaning and application. Simply put, Right or Wrong uses classic card game dynamics - like matching cards from memory - to encourage students to know their constitutional rights.
So think the classic card game Memory plus The Bill of Rights - and yes it is as fun as it sounds!
Beyond the fun factor - however - besides the game play - students will be charged with rewording and illustrating the meaning of each of The Bill of Rights to prepare for a constitutional quiz.
In other words - by design - Right or Wrong! propels the teaching and the learning in this unit, but it does not replace the teaching and the learning in this unit.
And by the end of the unit - students will know their constitutional rights - and why they matter.

The Right or Wrong! Unit is composed of three distinct lessons - or quests - and cover these themes:
Quest 1 - Pre Quiz & The Bill of Rights Etch a Sketch
TSW identify each of the first ten (10) amendments to the US Constitution, rewrite them in their own words - and illustrate them.
Quest 2 - Right or Wrong! Game Play Day
Using the Right or Wrong! card game - TSW identify each of the first ten (10) amendments to the US Constitution by matching its number to its actual text to its real world application - either in cooperative groups or as a whole class.
Quest 3 - Post Quiz & The Elements of a Story + Class Discussion
TSW complete a summative assessment quiz that asks students to identify key vocabulary and constitutional concepts - and The Bill of Rights and their real world application.
