Tips and Suggestions:
I have used these Reward Tickets with my own classes for both academic and social achievements, and my students absolutely love them! Distribute tickets for homework checks, prizes for group activities and games, extra challenge tasks, helpful behaviors, acts of kindness, personal goals, or any other achievements that deserve recognition.
Students can “cash in” their tickets for a variety of rewards, both tangible and non-tangible. By providing several reward options, you are likely to engage more students by tapping into their unique interests, needs and abilities. Tangible rewards might include gummies, bouncy balls and mechanical pencils. Non-tangible rewards might include 10 minutes of free time, 5 minutes of sharing time with the class, sitting with a buddy, or sitting in the teacher’s chair for one day.
The tickets can be printed in black in white or in color. For maximum aesthetic appeal I recommend printing them on cardstock and in color so they last longer and are more vibrant. Either way, children are greatly motivated by these reward incentives as they work hard to achieve their goals.
