• Each bell-ringer is aligned with the 7th grade STAAR writing test. You are provided the test year, passage number, and question number for your reference so that you have a state assessment as a reference.

Ideas

1. Give students the handout and assign one revision or edit per day.

2. Print the bell-ringers and use as task cards.

3. Upload the student .PDF to your online platform or LMS so that students can access the activity online.

4. After working on the bell-ringer, have students return to a previous piece of writing and revise for this skill.
