This is the fifth in a set of 25 informational text articles + activity packs designed to teach ALL of the reading informational text standards for 5th grade in a fun, rigorous, and easy to implement solution! The focus in this resource is a spiral review of RI.5.2 and RI.5.3: writing an objective summary, development of central ideas, and teaching students to explain and analyze the relationships between ideas and concepts in a nonfiction text. Your students will love reading about the hot topic of gaming disorder, including the sensationally popular game, Fortnite™.

Each article + activity pack includes these components:

-original article written at the 5th grade level

-modified version of each article

-professional audio recording of each article and modified article

-editable version of all activities and assessments

-digital Google Slides version of all articles and activities

-self-grading Google Forms assessments (3 per article)
