Resource English Basic Writing Checklist {Editable} Executive Functioning Skills

Welcome to Spedtastic Teaching!

This product is designed to help students with disabilities access grade level curriculum through the use of a checklist. This is designed for higher functioning students that can self-monitor, or need some visual cues. This can also be used to help students who need support with executive functioning skills for writing. This has been successful for students who are in a Resource level Middle School ELA or High School English class. Additional applications are listed below. This product can be edited to meet your specific student needs.

Applications:

*Print checklist. Provide a copy for students with each writing assignment.

*Print checklist, and have students place a copy in their Interactive Journal.

Upload a copy for students in Google Classroom, Schoology, or other online classroom format you use for self-monitoring.

*Can be used to demonstrate student self- assessment as part of the TTESS process (Texas).

*Errorless Teaching- * Print and laminate page. You can place page 1 in a manilla folder for a more durable file folder matchable. Make checkmark answers (make to size) and apply velcro to create a matchable.

* For errorless teaching- print pages 1 and 2. You can place page 1 in a manilla folder for a more durable file folder matchable. Cut out the complete sentences with answers on page two and apply velcro to create a matchable.

I use this for students with Autism, students with cognitive impairments, and other students who struggle with writing in a Life Skills setting.
