Research Project: Real-Life Crime and Punishment (not Dostoevsky)

Research Project: Crime and Punishment: This is a full unit plan for a 5 - 10 day-long research project. The purpose of this project is to acquaint learners with the consequences of criminal actions, and to encourage them to explore alternative methods of punishment.

The project includes: individual and group collaboration, conducting research, analyzing findings, preparing reports, technical writing, creative and critical thinking, creating a presentation, and presenting to the class.

The packet includes Common Core Standards, background information, full lesson plans, grading rubrics, and student hand-outs. It is great for 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, undergraduate college, homeschool.
