Research Paper - Auto Outline

Do your students also need a lot of help organizing their arguments for a research paper?

This is a basic format in Google Sheets that can autofill an outline in a basic outline format, just by having students answer their basic questions.

How it works - On the first sheet students answer questions like "What are the main reasons to support your thesis?" (they type those in the white cells). Once they input their answers, they will be auto-filled in the correct outline order on the protected sheet. This lets students focus on finding and providing the right information, and seeing how that translates to going into an outline.

The outline sheet is protected so students can't manipulate the cells once it's autofilled (they would have to change the information in the input sheet to do so).

My students have LOVED this and it has worked so well for those who "never know where to put things". It has really helped them see the relation between what they want to say, and how it needs to go into the essay.
