- PPT
Description
Over 100 report card comments for first grade and second grade. This resource has been purchased over 1100 times; please take a minute and read the reviews from your fellow teachers. Writing comments for progress reports and report cards can be very time consuming. After many long hours over many years, I learned to speed up the process. Start with a positive statement and follow with comments about reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Refer to my list of comment statements and write a paragraph. Include a statement referring to leadership, ability to work independently, or include a statement about an area where the student is demonstrating progress. Include a statement that addresses a skill that can be practiced at home. Read your class list and make a notation next the names of students who require a specific comment (for example handwriting, behavior, staying on task) now you have a reminder of specific needs as you tweak and personalize comments.
